The Women's Euro tournament is a huge deal in football, where teams across Europe compete with each other to be crowned the best.

With England looking to defend the title after winning Euro 2022 and Wales women making their first-ever appearance in an international tournament, it's set to be a big year for the home nations taking part.


When does the 2025 UEFA Women's Euro starts?


The UEFA Women's Euro 2025 will commence on Wednesday 2 July and run until Sunday, 27 July – taking place across eight beautiful cities in Switzerland.


Where is the Women’s Euros being held? Host cities and stadiums


Women’s Euro 2025, the 14th edition of the tournament, will be held in Switzerland. The Swiss beat off competition to host from Poland, France and jointly Denmark/Finland/Norway/Sweden.

Euro 2025 will take place across eight venues:

In total, there are 16 nations, split into four groups, taking part in this year’s Women’s European Championships.

How can I watch the Women’s Euro 2025 on TV?



The Women's European Championship will be televised by both the BBC and ITV. Half of the matches will be broadcast live on BBC channels and iPlayer, while the other half will be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITV4.


England's group matches against France on July 5 and Wales on July 13 will be televised on ITV. Additionally, it will broadcast Wales' July 9 match against France. Wales's and England's matches versus the Netherlands will be shown by the BBC on July 5 and July 9, respectively.

ITV will have the first choice for the semi-finals, while the BBC will broadcast three of the four quarterfinals. The final will air on July 27 on both networks.

Live commentary from the Euros will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live, while highlights and clips will be on the BBC Sport website and ITVX, the latter of which will also show matches on catch-up.

England won on home soil, beating Germany 2-1 in the final after extra-time.
