Neymar to Miss Brazil’s Last 2026 Qualifiers vs Chile, Bolivia
Neymar ruled out of Brazil’s final World Cup qualifiers vs Chile and Bolivia
Brazil star Neymar will miss the Seleção’s final two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia, extending his absence from international football to nearly two years.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the 33-year-old Santos forward was left out of the squad due to a minor muscle injury. Brazil have already secured World Cup qualification.
Neymar has not played for Brazil since suffering a serious knee injury in October 2023. Despite flashes of form at Santos—six goals in 19 games—he continues to struggle with fitness.
Ancelotti’s squad blends veterans like Alisson, Marquinhos, Casemiro with rising stars such as Chelsea teenager Estevão and the returning Lucas Paquetá.
