FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025: Full Schedule, Teams, Groups, and Format




The 11th edition of the FIFA Arab Cup is set to take place in Qatar, kicking off in Doha on Monday, December 1. The tournament will open with Tunisia vs. Syria and Qatar vs. Palestine. The final will be held at the iconic 89,000-seat Lusail Stadium on December 18.

A total of six venues, all of which hosted matches during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, will be used throughout the tournament. 16 teams are competing across four groups, with 32 matches in total. The group stage runs until December 9, and the knockout stage begins on December 11.

Format

  • The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage, which includes quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final.

  • There is also a third-place playoff for the losing semifinalists.

  • Knockout matches tied at the end of normal time will go to 30 minutes of extra time, followed by penalties if needed.
