Australia 2026 FIFA World Cup Match schedule, date, times, venues

When and Where Australia will play at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Socceroos Full match schedule, date, times, venues

Australia has been placed in Group D for the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup, landing what many consider a favourable draw. The Socceroos have steered clear of Europe’s and South America’s traditional heavyweights, instead drawing host nation USA, Paraguay, and the winner of UEFA Play-Off Path C—a spot that will go to Turkey, Slovakia, Romania, or Kosovo. Turkey is viewed as the strongest candidate to qualify.

Group D matches are conveniently clustered on the west coast of the United States, with games scheduled in Los Angeles, Seattle, and the San Francisco Bay Area, plus one fixture in Vancouver. Should Australia top the group, their Round of 32 match would be held in Dallas.

Despite missing out on a true minnow from the lowest-ranked pot, Australia will feel the group is manageable. They would, however, be only the third-highest ranked team if Turkey qualifies, highlighting the competitive edge of the group.

A single win paired with a solid goal difference could be enough to advance under the new 48-team format. Topping the group could lead to a Round of 32 match against a third-place qualifier, potentially setting up a Round of 16 meeting with Belgium, and a quarter-final clash with Spain if results fall into place.
