Next year’s tournament will expand to 48 teams for the first time, up from the previous 32-team format. As a result, 16 teams will be eliminated after the group stage, while 32 advance to the knockout rounds to compete for the title.

Group A will have the honor of kicking off the event, with all four teams — including host nation Mexico — taking the field on opening night. These squads will need to be sharp from the start, as fans around the globe will be watching closely as they set the tone for the competition.

Across two weeks, Group A will feature six matches as its four teams battle for a place in the round of 32.
