Paraguay’s Matias Galarza scored the fastest goal of FIFA World Cup 2026, with a second-minute strike against Turkiye in San Francisco on Friday.

Galarza found the net just 64 seconds after kick-off with a fiery left-footed hit into the bottom corner.

Earlier on Friday, Ismael Saibari of Morocco had scored a 70-second goal against Scotland.

The fastest goal in FIFA World Cup history was scored by Hakan Şükür of Türkiye, who found the net just 11 seconds (officially 10.8 seconds) into the match against South Korea on June 29, 2002.
Türkiye went on to win the match 3-2 to secure the bronze medal.
