Brazil international Vinicius Junior has signed a major contract extension with Real Madrid, securing his future at the Santiago Bernabeu until 30 June 2032.
The 26-year-old winger, who had entered the final 12 months of his existing contract, has agreed fresh terms with the Spanish giants. Real Madrid announced the agreement on Thursday, ending months of negotiations.Talks had stalled until Real tabled an improved offer on Wednesday. Vinicius is understood to have welcomed the revised proposal.

Discussions over a new deal had been ongoing for around 18 months. Vinicius has often described Real Madrid as the club of his “dreams.”

Vinicius attracted interest from Arsenal in recent weeks. The Premier League champions were prepared to intensify their pursuit if the player rejected Real’s offer. Vinicius’ extension was announced on the same day Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for a fee that could reach £120 million (€140 million).Diomande becomes Real’s sixth summer signing under new head coach Jose Mourinho, following the arrivals of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Carlos Espi.
