The move was announced on August 18, 2026, just days before Palace opens its 2026/27 campaign against Everton under new head coach Pierre Sage.

Born in Utah in 2007, Zavier Gozo is a right winger who came through the Real Salt Lake academy. He joined the academy in 2021 at age 13 and signed his first professional contract with the club’s MLS Next Pro side, Real Monarchs, the following year.Gozo made his first-team MLS debut in October 2023 against the LA Galaxy at just 16 years old.
After limited minutes in 2024, he broke out in 2025 with four goals and three assists in 25 appearances. In 2026 he has taken another step forward, recording six goals and four assists in the first 15 league matches of the season.
At the international youth level, Gozo has represented the United States at U-15, U-16, U-19, U-20, and U-23. He was part of the U-20 side that finished runners-up at the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and reached the quarterfinals of the U-20 World Cup.
How Good is Zavier Gozo?
Gozo has shown high potential as a dynamic attacker. Through 16 appearances in the 2026 MLS season he ranks among the league leaders in successful dribbles and carries ending in a shot. He creates well for himself in the final third, though creating for teammates remains an area for growth.His performances earned him a place in the 2026 MLS All-Star Game, making him only the second teenager selected to any of the last five All-Star Games.
Why Are Crystal Palace Buying Zavier Gozo?
