On Saturday, May 31, Denis Bouanga's goal in extra time secured LAFC of Major League Soccer the final position in the 32-team tournament, which is being held in locations across the United States for the first time starting on June 14, marking the official start of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The FIFA World Cup Tournament will be decided by 64 matches, and the victor will be proclaimed on July 13 following the finals at MetLife Stadium outside of New York.
