Barcelona Confirm Lamine Yamal Sidelined for 2–3 Weeks With Pubic Discomfort
Barcelona have officially announced that Lamine Yamal will miss the next two to three weeks after suffering a recurrence of pubic discomfort, the same issue that had kept him out earlier in September.
The 18-year-old winger felt pain again following the midweek clash against PSG and will sit out Sunday’s La Liga game against Sevilla.
“The pubic discomfort affecting player Lamine Yamal has reappeared after the match against PSG. He is out against Sevilla and the estimated recovery time is 2-3 weeks,” the club confirmed.
Yamal had already spent three weeks on the sidelines last month, missing games against Valencia, Newcastle, Getafe, and Real Oviedo. He returned as a substitute against Real Sociedad and then started against PSG, but was forced to limp off after the final whistle.
His absence also means he will not be joining Spain’s squad for their upcoming international fixtures against Georgia and Bulgaria. Barcelona’s hope now is to have him ready for their La Liga showdown with Girona once domestic football resumes after the break.
