Ramos’ late strike lifts PSG past Barcelona in Champions League clash.
BARCELONA — Gonçalo Ramos came off the bench to score a dramatic 90th-minute winner as Paris Saint-Germain snatched a 2–1 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League league phase at the Estadi OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
The defending champions were without their entire first-choice front three — Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ©, DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ© and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia — yet still found a way back after Ferran Torres had put the hosts ahead in the first half.
Teenager Senny Mayulu, starting in place of the injured DembĂ©lĂ©, leveled the score with a composed finish before Ramos struck late, finishing coolly after Achraf Hakimi’s perfectly timed pass exposed Barça’s high line.
Hansi Flick welcomed Lamine Yamal back to the lineup, and the 17-year-old winger caused early problems, repeatedly testing PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier before fading as the game wore on.
PSG had their own chances, with Hakimi forcing a save from Wojciech SzczÄ™sny from a free kick and substitute Kang-In Lee rattling the post with a dipping strike. But Ramos’ clinical finish sealed all three points for Luis Enrique’s side, handing the Spaniard a satisfying victory on his return to his former club.
