The FA Cup returns this weekend with the first round proper, giving lower-league clubs a chance to dream of Wembley.

Four-time winners Bolton face fellow former winners Huddersfield, while Cardiff, Blackpool, Wigan, Bradford, AFC Wimbledon, Barnsley, and Notts County also join the action.

When is the FA Cup second-round draw?


The draw for the FA Cup second round proper will take place on Monday 3 November and it gets underway at approximately 6.45pm GMT before Tamworth v Leyton Orient.

Reminder that ties will take place on the weekend of Saturday, December 6.

The second round ties will be played from 5-8 December.

The dates, times and live television broadcast selections for the 2025-26 Emirates FA Cup second round ties have now been confirmed. 

Eight of the 20 matches will be televised live by TNT Sports, with BBC Sport also making two of these available to watch, and 12 games are going to take place at 15:00 GMT on Saturday 6 December.
