Qatar FIFA World Cup 2026: Full Squad, Stars & Schedule

Qatar coach Julen Lopetegui has named his 26-player World Cup squad, including Qatar's all-time leading scorer Almoez Ali, who has scored 60 goals in 126 international appearances. Fellow star Akram Afif is also included as Qatar look to improve on their disappointing 2022 World Cup, where they lost all three group-stage matches as hosts.

Lopetegui, appointed in May 2025, left out defender Niall Mason despite his inclusion in the preliminary squad. Veteran striker Sebastian Soria, 42, was also omitted.

Maroons's World Cup schedule begins against Switzerland in Santa Clara on 13 June, followed by matches against co-hosts Canada in Vancouver and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Seattle.
